Autumn (Fall) 2021 / Winter 2022
The deep palette of colours that go on display as the light fades and the darkness encroaches, is quite spectacular. It’s been an awesome year for finding the joy in colour and being able to share a sample of it with you. Please follow me on Instagram @skytailsandjoy if you would like to see more.
PS My two Winter Photographs wanted to make an appearance too, even if they are out of sequence… so I guess I’ll let them stay. I’m practicing letting go…
Spring / Summer 2021
Watching the seasons change slowly from white to gentle pastels to vibrant shades of the rainbow is enchanting. Please enjoy these photographs I took while out and about in various places. There is so much to see when we take the time to look.
Winter Photography 2020 – 2021
It’s the little things in life, the tiny details, that bring me joy. Especially when it is cold outside and the only colour the eye can see is white. This winter I was determined to find the colour, as I am a lover of colour and the sky in Alberta is that brilliant shade of Azure blue most of the time. When the sun shines on the new fallen snow it is the most glorious sight of sparkles and glitter. Even frost can be beautiful, early in the morning. Also, let us not forget that in the winter you are able to enjoy those spectacular sunrises and sunsets that are the most delightful part of any morning or evening. It certainly guarantees to put me in a very grateful mood. I would say to my munchkins to take a moment to sit and watch it change as the sun moves and to feel that warm glow… just sit and breathe it in…
And so, without further ado, here are my collection of photographs I took last winter whilst out for a walks with my Muchkins. I will also add that lots of layers, snowpants, hats, scarves, mittens, gloves and the discovery that “Hey Siri” will open the camera app on my phone were my ultimate survival gear!! It was fun to experiment what the camera could do without me having to give it a lot of input and keeping my fingers warm, which is the true goal here! Enjoy the pictures and the story they tell.
